HUNTING ITEMS TO BRING
During the fall Bear Hunt our weather can vary greatly from day to day.We recommend that our Hunters bring a variety of warm and cool weather clothing to choose from each day.You can't hunt quietly if you are not comfortable.We have also compiled a small list of items that our Hunters may find useful while hunting Black Bear in the fall.
- Good quality clothing and footwear
- Body or waist harness to belt into treestand
- Small diameter rope to raise and lower gear in treestand
- ScentSheild
- Flash light
- Trail marker
- Compass and/or GPS

About the Fall Bear Hunt
Upon your arrival at Buck Lake Outfitters we will get you settled in to your accommodations then start to prepare you for your Bear Hunt.
Our bait stations are widely dispersed throughout our BMA so that you will be the only person hunting in a specified area.This will ensure you of a quality hunt without any other hunting pressure nearby.
We will select an active bait site then assist you in installing your tree stand in a desired location. We prefer you to bring your own portable tree stand that you will be comfortable with. (Do not recommend tree climber style). If you do not have a tree stand avaliable, we are more then happy to supply you with one of ours. For the duration of the hunt you will be more than welcome to assist us daily while we bait and monitor the Bear activity at your stand.
Generally we only hunt in the evenings and like to get you into your stand by late afternoon. This will provide you with a good 3-4 hours of hunting time.
The majority of our bait sites are accessable by vehicle and require only a short walk into your tree stand.We ask that our hunters supply their own transportation to and from the bait sites.For those hunters interested in a more remote hunting experience we have a few bait stations only accessable by ATV.
If you are successful in harvesting a Bear we will retrieve, field dress, and skin your trophy. Arrangements can be made for you at a local abattoir and taxidermist.
We Have a rifle and archery range to fine tune and practice your shot placement to ensure a clean and ethical harvest. Also available are Bear Hunting videos for you to watch. They provide great information on Black Bear biology, shot placement, and overall view of what you might experience while Bear Hunting with Buck Lake Outfitters.
